So you've booked a personal training session. Congratulations. You've also probably spent at least some time since then wondering what you've gotten yourself into.
Will it be awful? Will you be made to do burpees until you cry? Will the trainer look at you like you're a disappointing before photo?
The answers are: no, absolutely not, and definitely not. Let's walk through what actually happens.

Before you arrive
You'll fill in a short questionnaire covering your goals, your training history, any injuries and what your week genuinely looks like. This means your trainer already knows your situation before you walk in - which means the conversation starts in the right place instead of spending the first twenty minutes on basic admin.
Wear something comfortable. Bring water. That's genuinely it.

The chat
We start by sitting down and talking. Not in a clipboard-and-checklist way - more like a real conversation with someone who actually wants to understand where you're at.
We want to know what you're hoping to achieve, what's worked before, what hasn't, and what life actually looks like for you day to day. The goal is to understand you as a person rather than fit you into a template.
A lot of clients tell us this part alone is refreshing. Being listened to by someone in the fitness industry - without immediately being sold a meal plan - is apparently rarer than it should be.

The movement assessment
Before any proper training begins, your trainer will take you through a movement assessment. This is not a test. There are no wrong answers. It's simply a way to see how your body moves, so that everything we build from here is designed around your actual body and not a hypothetical one.
Nobody fails a movement assessment. Some people discover they have the hip mobility of a 90-year-old. That's okay. That's exactly what we're there to work on.

The workout
Your first session includes a short workout - enough to give you a genuine feel for what training with us looks like, without leaving you unable to walk to your car afterwards.
We'll typically work through a squat variation, a pressing movement, a pulling movement and a core exercise. Everything is coached in real time. You'll be shown the technique, given clear cues, and corrected gently if needed. No shouting. No "come on, push through it." Just good, calm coaching.
By the end, most people say something along the lines of "that was harder than I expected but I actually feel great." Perfect. That's exactly the goal.

The plan
After the workout you'll sit back down and map out a plan together. Based on what you've told us and what we've seen, your trainer will recommend a training structure that fits your real life - not an optimistic version of it.
Then we walk through what coaching with B.Evolved includes, what the investment looks like, and what happens next.

What you won't experience
You won't be pushed to breaking point on day one. You won't be made to feel like you don't belong. You won't be given a generic plan and left to figure it out. And you absolutely won't be made to do burpees. We have strict feelings about burpees.

After the session
If you sign up, you'll be set up in our coaching app and receive your program before your first proper session. If you want to go away and think - completely fine. We'll send you a written summary of everything we discussed so you have it in front of you.

Sessions run Monday to Saturday at Anytime Fitness Diamond Creek, 75–77 Main Hurstbridge Rd. Online coaching is available for those who can't make it in person.
