Online coaching or in-person training? It's a question we get asked regularly - and the honest answer is that neither is universally better. The best one is whichever actually fits your life.
Here's a straightforward breakdown to help you decide.
What face-to-face personal training offers
In-person training is the gold standard for learning technique. Having a coach physically present - watching your movement, adjusting your position, giving you real-time feedback accelerates the learning process in a way that's hard to replicate remotely.
It's also highly motivating for a lot of people. The accountability of knowing someone is literally waiting for you at a specific time on a specific day is a powerful driver of consistency. You're far less likely to talk yourself out of it when there's a person involved.
Face-to-face training works best for people who:
Are completely new to the gym and want hands-on guidance from day one
Know they need that in-person accountability to stay consistent
Have specific technique-based goals
Are based in or near Diamond Creek and can make the sessions work logistically
At B.Evolved, face-to-face sessions run Monday to Saturday at Anytime Fitness Diamond Creek. Sessions are 60 minutes, 1:1 or 2:1 with a fully personalised program.
What online coaching offers
Online coaching has come a long way. A well-structured online program with regular check-ins, app-based tracking and consistent communication can produce results that are genuinely comparable to in-person training - for the right person.
The key advantages of online coaching are flexibility and accessibility. You can train at your gym, at home, or wherever life takes you. You're not locked to a specific location or time slot. And because the investment is typically more accessible, it's often easier to commit to a longer-term program.
Online coaching works best for people who:
Already have some confidence in the gym and understand basic technique
Have a busy or unpredictable schedule that makes fixed session times difficult
Want personalised coaching without being tied to a specific location
Are outside the Diamond Creek area or travelling regularly
At B.Evolved, online clients receive a custom training program updated every eight weeks, fortnightly check-ins, nutrition support, app access and ongoing messaging support between sessions.
The honest truth
The biggest factor in your results is not whether you train in person or online. It's whether you actually do the program consistently over time. A face-to-face program you skip half the time outside of your sessions will produce worse results than an online program you follow diligently every week. Commitment to the process matters more than the format.
What if you're not sure?
Book a free discovery call with us. We'll ask you a few questions about your goals, your schedule and your experience level, and we'll tell you honestly which option we think gives you the best chance of getting the results you're after.
No pressure either way. We'd rather put you in the right program than the most expensive one.
Personal training and online coaching for busy people who want to build strength, confidence and results that actually fit real life.
